BREAKING: Minister of Interior, Dambazau, arrives Kaduna over Shiite-army clash

Minister of Interior, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd)

The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd), has arrived Kaduna State to assess the situation in the state, following the clash between the Nigeria Army and the Islamic Movement of Nigeria.
The minister, who is on his way to Zaria where the clash occurred, made a brief stop at the Kaduna State Government House to see Governor Nasir El-Rufai, our correspondent reported.
This comes amid increased tension in the state as members of the sect protest the killings of other members and the arrest of their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
