Brentford are set to sign Chelsea starlet Josh McEachran on a four-year deal, according to the Express
The Express understands the 22-year-old had a medical at Griffin Park on Friday and the move is set to be completed this week.
The Bees head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen knows McEachran well, having worked with the midfielder during his time at Dutch side Vitesse, who have close ties with Chelsea.
McEachran was rated as one of the future at Stamford Bridge but has spent the majority of his time with the Blues away on loan with spells at Swansea City, Middlesbrough, Watford, Wigan Athletic and Vitesse.
He has made 22 appearances for the Premier League side in all competitions but has not hit the heights they were expecting at the club.
The midfielder, who can play in a defensive role as well as an attacking one, was a part of the squad that won the FA Youth Cup in 2010.
McEachran has played at every youth level for England and was in the Under-17 squad that won the UEFA European Championships in 2010, in which he was named in the Team of the Tournament.
